I guess I should actually say 'no news'. I haven't mentioned this yet because I kept thinking he would be found. Or would come home. But he hasn't
About a month ago, on the last day of March, my child's father decided to take Shadow over to his house to visit with the other cat. Well. Shadow wasn't there much more than 24 hours - - he left. David's father's cat apparently beat him up first. On April 1st I was told that 'Shadow took off' and he wasn't anywhere to be found. That day was Shadow's 6th birthday. He was a gift to my son on his 4th birthday
I kept (keep) thinking that Shadow will turn up. It's several miles from that house to ours, and people say that animals sometimes do come home. Yesterday it was one month since he's been gone

Oh Phinney, I'm so sorry. I know how much all your cats are a part of your life. This just stinks.

I can tell you I knew of a dog who ran away for a year and came home one year to almost the day he ran away. Animals are strange. Hopefully. Shadow ill find his way back. Don't give up hope. Somebody could have taken him in and one day he may just "remember" that's not his family.

We had a cat that we took with us on vacation. He ran away while we were gone and showed up close to a year later at home, over 400 miles away! He's old and senile but still around. He's 18 years old and living with my mom (who also happens to be senile! ;-)
I am so sorry!! Prayers that Shadow find the way home...

When I was in high school my best friend had a black cat named Shadow. One day he disappeared. He was gone for a year! Then, one day we opened the front door and there he was! He'd been taken care of wherever he went, and we never found out where he'd gone. But, a whole year later he showed up. I hope your kitty shows up again.
