Tagged to "Show and Tell"

I was tagged for this photo meme by Nancy (nhd106) of Nancyluvspix.
I saw her entry in her J, looked at it, and said to myself, looks like fun, hope she tags me.  And she did.

Official rules:

Once you are tagged, you must go around your house taking pictures of things. Then, you post the pictures in your blogs/journals for all to see. The subject categories for the pictures are as follows:

One picture of something you made;
One picture of a gift someone gave you;
One picture of something strange;
One picture of something with a pig (Why a pig? Why not?); and
One picture of something unique.

My photos are as follows:

This coaster I made using a tumbled marble 4x4, chalks, stamps and black dye ink.

I had to throw in a photo of cards that I've made.  These all sit in a box on a shelf.  Bah.

A gift I was given - -  my favorite gift.   This painting was done by my son when he was in Kindergarten.  It's my favorite painting in the whole wide world.  (crayon and watercolor - circa 2002)

Another gift - my thank you angel from the PTO last June.  I love her.  Beau made her a little silver-beaded halo, see it there at the bottom of her gown - it fell off and I didn't notice until I was editing the photo.

Something strange in my house...I had a hard time with this one.  I guess this stuffed frog hanging on the doorknob of the linen closet is strange.  (My son gave it to me for Christmas, so it's also a gift! Someone needs to teach this boy to shop!)

This hole is strange, too.  Not to mention U-G-L-Y! ! !  Open into the cellar stairway.  Strange, yeah, but mostly annoys the hell out of me, because it's just one more unfinished project.  Supposed to be a bannister post there.  Or something.

Ok, the pig.  Yeah, why not? My ceramic switchplate.  It's in my kitchen - says 'Welcome' and has a pink pig painted on it.  I remember when and where I bought it, (1986, craft fair) but I have no clue why.  At the other house we lived in for 9 years, it was in our bathroom, then bedroom.  We moved here and I put it right in the kitchen.  It's strange, odd, weird, I don't know why I like it but I do!

Something unique - I can guarantee nobody has one of these!  This is a sweet little picture on a wooden plaque that my sister brought me from Germany in 1976 or '77 when she went on a school trip.  I glued a magnet on the back and it's on my fridge.

Another unique thing in my house - my stairs, and what's under them.  The design was ours alone, and I can't imagine anyone else has exactly the same thing.  Nevermind that the middle cubby has a burned out lightbulb.  If you see any dust, it's not mine.  Oh, there's my scotch tape dispenser!

Alright.  I've showed you mine.  And like Nancy and others who've played, I didn't stick to just one thing per subject!  Oh, well - this was fun!

I tag anyone who would like to play along.  Play!

Love, love, love this!   I feel like I know you a bit better now.  And I gotta say, I like your taste and your style.   I also have an angel like that...she's a caring/listening angel from someone who appreciate that from me.  Also, LOVE your stairs and the cubbies.   Can I come over?
Nancy
PS.  Your son is a talented artist!

Hey there!  Cool pics!  I love the kindergarten painting very much.  The Germany trip was April, 1977.  Munich mostly, and over to Austria.

I love it! Especially your favorite gift ever and the stairs! Very cool stairs! I would love to consider myself tagged but considering I use the damn cell phone for a camera... guess I'll wait till I get a real camera ::sigh::
