Yesterday went by and I was so busy I never got a cat photo for Steven and Pickle's "Feline Friday". I didn't even have a chance to look for one in my archives. Just a couple of hours ago, Jinx was outside, and we heard such howling! You know the kind. An intruder cat was on the premises!
I looked out and saw Jinx about to duke it out with this gorgeous Siamese cat with the brightest blue eyes I'd ever seen. Never saw the cat before, and he was wearing a collar with tags.
I couldn't even shoo it away. It hid under our covered gas grill on the deck, making an awful sound. After I decided, 'Heck, I'll go get my camera" Intruder Cat and Jinx had themselves a helluva scrapping session. This photo was taken during a quick break. We finally got this cat out of our yard. I kept saying to him 'Dummy, you don't want to be here; five cats live here, numbskull!' Maybe he (she?) was looking for trouble?
Don't forget to visit Steven and Pickle!

So, Pickle would like us to tell you all how our cats got their names. Pickle's story is particularly interesting, I just read it! Let's see. Kashmir, named after the Led Zeppelin song Kashmir. Shadow, named by Eric, for his charcoal/white coloring. Prue, named after a favorite character on Charmed. Genavieve, named after my favorite designer on Trading Spaces (loved her name, too!) And Jinx, named by Dave, I don't know why. I never liked it and wanted to change it, but I was overruled. I now call him Jinker the Stinker. There you have it.
