Feline Friday -- Jinker the Stinker

As you can see in this photo, Jinx was just not interested in playing the PS2 but he had the controller handed to him anyway, just in case.  School vacation week, can you tell my kid was a little bit bored?

Steven asked for our cat's nicknames this week.

I call Jinx "Jinker the Stinker" and "Jinkies"

Genavieve  "Big Mouth" and "Gena-Veevee" (and I'll admit, sometimes "Pain in my Ass")

Prue  "Prudy Pooh" or "Pretty Girl"

Shadow "Big Boy" or "Fluffy Bottom"

Kashmir doesn't live here anymore, my husband took him when he moved out recently - - - but I usually called Kashmir "Sneezy".  Valentine's Day was Kashmir's 14th birthday.

An Artsy Old-Timey Look

The really great clock...

Watercolor Homes

A view of part of Prospect Avenue, from a side street.

I turned down that side street and then turned around to get a photo of that clock, and the houses caught my eye as well.  I think it's so cool that someone put a beautiful, very tall, working clock on the corner like that!

The house that is on the corner where the clock is (not pictured) is gigantic, and is, I believe, being used as law offices.  I know there was a sign on the lawn...not real observant of me.

Anyway, just plain, this picture didn't look very special - but look at it with the watercolor effect!

I will post another photo of just the clock, too, so you can see it better.

Took a few pics today ::dancing in my chair::

How is this for an interesting looking (and colorful) house ?

We pass this house every week when we go to Hartford, it's on Prospect Avenue.

Isn't it wicked groovy ?

I finally just HAD to pull over today and get a picture.

Missing flowers...

some flowers i saw last year outside a store - don't even remember if i ever posted this one.  i miss colors!  i miss flowers!  i miss warmth!  not that it's freezing today, it's not - it's around 35.  it's snowing.  just flurries, far as i know.

wow, fresh outta stuff!

i am totally fresh out of new photos to post.  ones that i've taken lately are either all cats or boring junk that just don't appeal to me in the least!  the rest are all school pics, for the yearbook.

i'm going back to summer, back when my blue hydrangea  had a blossom.  i hope it blooms even more this year.

ugh! ok, officially sick of the cold, bare, grey weather !

Um...weather?

If you would, look back to Monday's photo.

Remember my front walk, the 25 inches of snow?

This photo was taken half-hour ago. Yes, same front walk!

:scratching head:

Ever lived in New England?  This is it!

2 feet of snow

Blizzard of 2006 - Winter Storm Carson.

Central Connecticut got LOTS of snow!  I don't know

our exact number, but the snowbanks by the street are

higher than my butt.  How much snow, if any,  did you all get??

Beau was showing Prue his green balloon that he got at the school open house the other night.  She wasn't too sure she liked it in her face!
