The 5'er

The 5'er!!! by Robin.

1.  Do you snag extra condiments to take home when you eat at a fast food joint?

No, I usually don't.  I just keep leftovers that they put in the bag at the drive-thru, or from the delivery guy.

2.  What is the one condiment you could not live without?

Probably ketchup.

3. Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise?

I like Miracle Whip, but will have mayo when that's all there is.

4.  What is your idea of the perfect hot dog?

Grilled, not blackened, on a bun with spicy brown mustard and relish.  No ketchup on a hot dog, ever!

5. Take a picture of some "stolen" condiments in your house and post it.  (If you can't take a PIC...take inventory of what you have and tell me about it.) I know sometimes they aren't actually "stolen" they just give you a lot and maybe you save them in your fridge for another time.

momma's white kitties

My Mom's two kitties, Moses and Mitzie.

They have the distinct honor of living in a home with 9 birds.  Lucky cats, huh?

I think they know better than to mess with the lovebirds.  :smile:

 Feline Friday, a little early.

missing

Lilac glow.

One of many lilac bushes in my yard.  I messed with the photo a lot, and found something I am happy with.  Poor freezing cold lilacs!  See you in the Spring!

Snow Kids

I love this one.

Doll

One of the most photographic children I've ever known.

Sunbathing - A Feline Friday Girl

On Thursday morning it was in the 50's and we had bright sun.  Gena decided to hang out on top of the covered grill out on the deck.  Beauty, eh?

Feline Friday is here.  Steven liked my suggestion last week that we name all of the cats we've lived with.  Now I have to use my brain, as I never prepared my list!  This may take a while...and they probably will be out of chronological order.  Mom, help me fill in who I leave out!

Lil' Sing

Snowflake (had 5 kittens: Salt, Pepper, Blackie, Whitey, and Maureen.  I kid you not.)

Pepper (we kept one of above babies)

Grey Wolf

Mouser

Whiskers

Callie

Spooky

Cinnamon

Peppermint

(One lovely girl I can't remember her name - given to me by Sue R. Remember the neighbor found her dead, and buried her in the woods?)

Jasper

Claude

Teddie Bear (oh, what a tragic tale!)

Mischief

Ziggy

Vincent

Kashmir

Kyra

Shadow

Prue (had 5 kittens: Sage, Scout, Maude, Paige and Genavieve)

Genavieve (Prue's baby)

Jinx.

There.  As complete as I can get it at the moment!

Feline Friday ~ An Unwelcome Visitor!!

     Yesterday went by and I was so busy I never got a cat photo for Steven and Pickle's "Feline Friday".  I didn't even have a chance to look for one in my archives.    Just a couple of hours ago, Jinx was outside, and we heard such howling!  You know the kind.  An intruder cat was on the premises!

     I looked out and saw Jinx about to duke it out with this gorgeous Siamese cat with the brightest blue eyes I'd ever seen.  Never saw the cat before, and he was wearing a collar with tags.

     I couldn't even shoo it away.  It hid under our covered gas grill on the deck, making an awful sound.  After I decided, 'Heck, I'll go get my camera" Intruder Cat and Jinx had themselves a helluva scrapping session.  This photo was taken during a quick break.  We finally got this cat out of our yard.  I kept saying to him 'Dummy, you don't want to be here; five cats live here, numbskull!'   Maybe he (she?) was looking for trouble?

    Don't forget to visit Steven and Pickle!

                       ~~~~~~  >^..^<   ~~~~~~
So, Pickle would like us to tell you all how our cats got their names.  Pickle's story is particularly interesting, I just read it!  Let's see.  Kashmir, named after the Led Zeppelin song KashmirShadow, named by Eric, for his charcoal/white coloring.  Prue, named after a favorite character on CharmedGenavieve, named after my favorite designer on Trading Spaces (loved her name, too!)  And Jinx, named by Dave, I don't know why.  I never liked it and wanted to change it, but I was overruled.  I now call him Jinker the Stinker.  There you have it.
First photo I took this year.
I went out on my porch and took this photo during the big nor'easter that ended yesterday evening.  Yesterday would have been the kids first day back to school, but they got a snow day!
