Tee Hee!
It was so warm tonight!
T-shirt and bare feet!
Well, okay, Birkenstocks, but I took them off
to pose my toes for the photo! =)

This beauty is less than a 15 minute drive from my house. I made a split-second decision to drive up there yesterday afternoon. I truly was about to turn into my street and at the last instant thought of driving up to the lake and the apple orchards.

Crescent Lake!
And someone was out in a little boat today! It was sunny before I got here - it was sunny for most of my ride up the mountain - but only around 48 degrees. It was 1:45 this afternoon. Chilly! Then more clouds came and the sun wasn't so bright anymore.
Brrrrrr!
I took a short ride today and this is one thing that I saw. Can you guess what's right over this little grassy hill?
Expect more photos soon!
I love this tree!
It was appealing enough to make me turn around and go back down the road, turn around again, and park to quickly snap a photo of it. I think it's pretty cool.
I may be taking a ride in the next couple of days to take new photographs. Gotta go charge up those camera batteries!
I took this picture the other day - believe
it or not - when I walked out of CVS.
On the way to my car I simply had to look up.
I truly am a cloud watcher.
The quote is on a new pendant that I bought
that same day. It's a helpful reminder.
...two Canada Geese.
This is just a little place at the Northern
edge of town. I never stopped here before,
but decided to take a peek the other day. I
like the fluffy tall things there, don't know
what they are called. Seeing the geese was
an added surprise.

I simply had to do it! Couldn't resist.

Here's what they really looked like...
You should see how they looked in red, turquoise, fuschia and lime green! What fun!
Wow, simple things surely amuse me these days...
Aren't they cute, all lined up and waiting for someone to take them home!
I took some time driving around town yesterday and I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw!! :)
This farm market sells something every season, from flowers and veggies in the summer to Christmas trees and wreaths starting in November! It's a great little place.

Nae said keep 'em coming.
So, another for tonight.
Tomorrow I'll try to get a little further
out of my neighborhood before I have
to go open the Book Fair!!!
Hope for bright sun and blue skies!!
This house is about a block over from mine.
Gotta catch these colors before they're gone!
Guess I may not travel all over Connecticut
taking photos, but I'll spend five minutes
driving around my neighborhood on a sunny
afternoon - which is just what I did today.
Someone's display, teehee, not mine -
this house is about four houses from me.
Finally found some trees with Autumn
colors on them this afternoon.
I just had to pull over and snap some.
Right around the corner from my house~!

I just thought of something to share. I asked the guide at Roaring Brook Nature Center the other day about the lack of pretty colored leaves this year on the trees. I said are they just late in changing because it's been too hot, what's the deal? He said the leaves always have all those pretty reds, oranges and yellows underneath the green, which is just chlorophyl - um, yeah, not feeling like looking up the spelling there, you get my drift - anyway - the cool Autumn weather makes the green 'fall off' and that exposes the pretty colors we are all waiting for.
I asked him if he thought they would turn pretty colors soon. Like next week. Or after this danged rain stops. He said this: " I think that next week, after one good windy day, all the leaves are going to just fall to the ground because it'll be time, and I don't think we'll see much color this year."
Needless to say, I was devastated! I was looking forward to driving around one day, up into the Northwest hills of Connecticut and taking lots of pictures of lots of trees of lots of colors. I guess that may not happen. Drats.

The last of the best. I love these.
They were right next to our water fountain
out in the front yard. Beautiful, yes?
I finally got the photos of that wonderful Harvest moon that happened at the end of September. The photo does not do it justice, believe me, it was far more beautiful than my camera could capture. But I wanted to show you anyway.
Look who's caught with the feathers in her whiskers! No, thank you, Gena - we've already had our pancakes! Not that I think she planned on sharing...
Yesterday morning. The fog was lifting.
The afternoon did end up very sunny!
Hills in the Northeast corner of my town.
No leaves changing colors yet.
